The Right Way

Okay, so I was sitting downstairs on my futon yesterday and I was texting one of my friends. He asked me what I had done that weekend and I said I just stayed home and chilled for a couple days. The normal response after that is, what did YOU do this weekend. So I asked him that. He'd been over at a friends house all weekend. They had smoked hookah(flavored tobacco). I told him that it was wrong. He then called me a "goody goody" because he has been doing stuff like this lately. To him a "goody goody" is a person that stands up for their beliefs and what is right. For instance, I stood up to him saying, smoking is wrong. I could stand up next to a doctor and say, abortion is wrong. Or you could stand up for the stupid reasons, "I WANT to do this," "It MAKES me feel good." You can see that those are selfish reasons. I stood up to him because its bad for HIM. I was thinking of him and how he is going to be when he grows up if he keeps living this way. Anyway, to the point. He started PERSECUTING me because I told him that smoking was bad. He started critizing me because I am a Christian. He drilled me with questions like, "how could one man make everything around us?" I have no idea where that came from, but thats what he asked. I then told him that God is MUCH bigger than all of us. Its hard for our mind to wrap around that fact. Then, he brought up perfection. He called me, Miss Perfect. Immature, I know. But I told him, that I was NO WHERE near perfection. God was and IS the only thing that will EVER be perfect. After this, he asked me why I strived to be like Jesus. I told him that we were made in His image, but because of Adam and Eve, we were thrown out of the way to reach God. But that is why God sent His son to die for us! For us! Wretches that would NEVER deserve His love like this. But that He loved us SO much that He wanted to be with us for eternity. But God is perfection. He can't have ONE, one single imperfection anywhere near Him. Thats how perfect He is. You're probably thinking, "Wow, I'm NEVER going to be able to see God." But there is a way. The ONLY way to Him. Invite Him into your life. Ask Him to take away your sins. Cleanse your soul. You go from being drenched in sin to cleansed with purity. Dirty to clean. That is the only way to get into Heaven. Living the Christian life is not easy; like I explained earlier. You have to constantly stick up for God. Its difficult. But you'll be rewarded in Heaven someday. We cant even fathom how amazing God OR Heaven will be. But we can guarentee that it WILL be amazing and it WILL be worth every second we put our lives into living for Christ. What'll it be; Heaven or Hell?

We Need Change

This is my first blog; if you hadn't noticed. So here's my opinion on the world. Its crumbling. The people are destroying themselves and our planet. Personally, I believe that Jesus Christ is coming back very soon. Even though no one knows the exact moment He'll return, I think it will happen soon. Maybe not in a day or a week, maybe not even a year. But it'll be soon, I've got this feeling. Reading Left Behind changed my perspective on many things. How God works in our lives and through others. What it'll be like when Jesus comes back. And that God is real. If you're an evolutionist, I ask one thing. What are we here for? Everthing is created for a purpose. Plants were created to give us oxygen, food was grown from the plants which give us nourishment. If humans evolved from an animal what is our purpose? If you're not living a Christian life, then you're just taking up oxygen and putting carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere. We didn't just all of a sudden come from a frog or a monkey. We wouldn't have a purpose. We'd just be born, then we'd die. There is no point. But the universe is made from a creative mind. Everyone and everthing is unique, therefore, there MUST be something bigger than us human beings. And we MUST have a purpose. Yes, we all have different talents and passions, but we were created to live for Christ. He didn't just die on the cross for nothing. He died so that we could be forgiven and spend eternity with Him and His Father. Coming to this conclusin makes me wonder; why aren't more people doing something to change peoples' lives? Yes, we have missionaries overseas, we've got youth groups and churchs here. But teenagers think they are to young to change the world. Thats wrong. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, "Dont let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity." Bible talk can be very confusing; so I'll make it simple. The first part is understandable. "Dont let anyone look down on you because you are young." Easy enough, eh? "But set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity." Which means, you should have Christ in every aspect of your life. Friendship, love, your passions, the music you listen to, the way you use your words. Everything. No matter what, God should be the center of your life. The Most High God, The Almighty; you could say, The All Seeing Eye because he sees everything.

The reason I share this with you is in my most interest that it will effect you in some way to get out there and do something. Change someones life. Even if its just saying hello to someone you barely know, you have no idea how that might affect someone.
