Hey there. Okay, its been a while since my last blog, and you can tell that. Ha. School's been crazy, volleyball just ended, so I haven't had much computer time. Anyways, here's why I decided to write now; yesterday I had my biology class; we've been discussing biological evolution. My teacher decided to ask the question, "If I were to teach a class on how the world began by a belief system, which religion should I choose?" Everyone in my class decides to shoot out random answers. My school is very diverse; we've got Jewish people, we've got Christians:), we've got Muslims; very diverse. Anyways, people just decide to shout out different answers. (and here is where we go a little off topic) Over the summer, I went to a church camp; and we have a night where people can stand up and share their testimonies and say what they want to say. Anyways, I got this feeling; I could barely feel my legs, I had gooseskin on my arms, my hands were shaking, my heart was pounding, honestly, I thought I was going to puke; right then, I knew had to stand up and share my testimony, when I did, it was awesome. (now we go back to the biology room) I got that feeling as soon as he said that question, I knew had to say something. Everyone is yelling out answers so I decide to raise my hand and answer instead. He called on me, and my answer was, "Christianity." He asked me why I said that, I took a deep breath and said, "Because the Bible is the very first piece of evidence that we have of how the Earth was created and how man was made."---thats what I've learned in the past few months. He looked at me and goes, "That's not true. There were plenty of religions before Christianity came around that had theories on how the planet was formed." I was absolutely humiliated. I turned around in my seat and thought I was going to cry. I had to blink because my vision kept getting blurred. I honestly wanted to run out of there crying; and I was close to doing just that. But we've been doing these bug trap things; sticky traps is more appropriate. Anyways, I thought my day was going to be crappy after that. It had totally dropped my day from an A letter grade to an F. His one statement made my day miserable. But as soon as I walked outside with two of my friends, telling them how I felt, I heard a horn honk. I turned around to see my dad sitting in his car right there. I wanted to burst into tears of joy. I was so thankful that he showed up; right then and there. Perfect timing. I came home and told my mom about it; and she told me that my dad had no idea that he would be going to my school that day. Total God thing. That night at youth group; our lesson was on how God wants us to open the door to our hearts for him. This morning; our lesson at FCA was on how God never abandons us; never leaves us, even though the door in our hearts seems closed to Him when we're down, He'll pull us through the thickness of the destruction. So no matter what life throws at you, opinions on evolution, divorced parents, abuse, addictions, conformity, no matter what it is; the door to God is always open as long as you leave it open with your choice. God will always be there to pull you through. Avalanche, drought, thunderstorm, God's always there. When other people have abandoned you; He's still there.
Galations 2:20 "For I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God; who loved me and gave Himself for me."
